This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the rules governing responsible use of the Mazzen platform. It applies with particular force to the web crawling feature and to the automated, LLM-assisted analysis produced by Mazzen Entity Audit, both of which carry heightened legal responsibilities.
You may use Mazzen to: • Crawl websites you own or have explicit written permission to crawl • Audit competitor websites for publicly available information in a lawful, non-abusive manner • Generate SEO insights and reports for your own business or your clients' businesses • Use the Entity Audit tool to analyze publicly available SERP data • Share and present audit outputs to clients, provided the outputs are not misrepresented as independent third-party certifications
3.1 Unauthorized crawling • Crawling websites that explicitly prohibit crawling via robots.txt, unless you own the website or have explicit written permission • Crawling at rates that could constitute a denial-of-service attack or significantly degrade target server performance • Attempting to access content protected by authentication, paywalls, or access controls without authorization 3.2 Illegal data collection • Harvesting personal data from crawled pages in violation of GDPR or any applicable data protection law • Building contact databases, email lists, or personal profiles from crawled content • Circumventing access controls on third-party systems, in violation of Legea 161/2003 on cybercrime 3.3 Harmful or fraudulent activity • Using audit outputs to spread misinformation, defame, or make false representations about competitors or third parties • Misrepresenting Mazzen outputs as independent third-party certifications or official SEO scores • Using the platform to facilitate phishing, malware distribution, or spam • Using LLM-generated competitive analysis as the sole basis for legal, financial, or business-critical decisions without independent verification 3.4 Platform abuse • Attempting to reverse-engineer, extract, or reproduce proprietary algorithms, scoring models, or LLM prompts • Creating multiple free accounts to circumvent usage limits • Automating account creation or using bots to interact with the platform API beyond the permitted integration methods
By using the Mazzen Crawler, you acknowledge that: • You are responsible for ensuring your crawl targets are crawled lawfully, including verifying you have authorization where required • Mazzen operates with controlled crawl speed and respects robots.txt directives by default • You must not modify crawl settings to override rate limiting in ways that could harm or overload third-party servers • Mazzen will not be responsible for any legal claims arising from your crawling of unauthorized websites
Violations of this AUP may result in: • Immediate account suspension or termination • Forfeiture of any paid subscription without refund • Referral to law enforcement or relevant regulatory authorities where required by law Venum Agency S.R.L. reserves the right to determine, in its sole discretion, whether a violation of this AUP has occurred.
