Mazzen

Every SEO issue on your site,
found in minutes

Finding issues is half the job. Knowing which ones actually affect rankings is the other half. Mazzen crawls every page on your site, runs 25+ checks per URL, and stacks cross-page analysis on top — so you see individual page problems and site-wide patterns in the same audit.

Every row in the results is a real content page. Not CSS files. Not JS bundles. Not tracking scripts. Not images (they have a separate tab). 15,000 content pages per audit, and every one of them has actual content on it.

How it works

From URL to action in four steps

Paste your root URL and start the crawl. Mazzen handles JS rendering, redirect chains, robots.txt rules, and cross-page pattern detection automatically.

01
Enter your URL
Paste any website address and hit start.
02
Crawl runs
Every internal page is visited, analysed, and stored. The crawler follows every internal link, records crawl depth, renders JS pages, and handles redirect chains up to 10 hops.
03
Issues surface
Problems are ranked by severity and SEO impact. A second pass detects site-wide patterns: duplicate titles, near-duplicate content, noindexed pages still receiving internal links.
04
AI fixes it
Every issue has a Fix button. Click it and the AI Fix Assistant opens with the affected URL, the issue type, and the current field value already loaded.

Crawl engine

The crawler follows every internal link, records crawl depth from the homepage, renders JavaScript pages, and handles redirect chains up to 10 hops without getting stuck in loops.

JavaScript-rendered sites are fully supported. Mazzen renders JS pages and reads the final DOM, so dynamically generated content, headings, and links are all captured correctly.

Content pages only — not inflated counts

What you see in the pages table are content pages only. CSS files, JS bundles, and other resources are crawled where needed to render correctly, but never appear as rows in your audit.

Many crawlers count every resource they touch toward your limit. A "500 page" crawl might contain 400 stylesheets and images. With Mazzen, every row is a real page. The 15,000 limit is 15,000 content pages, not mixed noise.

On-page SEO

Every on-page signal, checked automatically

For every page crawled, Mazzen collects and validates the on-page SEO fields that affect how Google reads and ranks your content.

Titles & meta descriptions

Full text, character count, and estimated pixel width. Missing, duplicate, too long, and too short are flagged as separate issues because they have different fixes. Pixel width matters because Google truncates titles based on pixel width, not character count.

Headings (H1–H3)

All heading text extracted per page. Detects missing H1, multiple H1s, H1 matching the title tag exactly (a common CMS default that wastes the heading opportunity), and missing H2s.

Word count

Calculated from visible body text only. Nav elements, footers, cookie banners, and chat widgets are excluded — so thin pages show up correctly instead of being masked by boilerplate content.

Canonical tags

Detects self-referencing, points-elsewhere, and missing canonicals. Multiple canonical tags on the same page — which cause unpredictable indexing behaviour — are flagged separately.

Structured data

Detects JSON-LD, Microdata, and RDFa formats. JSON-LD syntax is validated and all schema types found on each page are listed. Invalid JSON-LD is flagged with the specific syntax error.

Hreflang tags

Listed per page, with detection for missing return tags. A page declaring hreflang="de" pointing to a German URL that doesn't have a corresponding return tag breaks the entire hreflang signal for both pages.

Technical SEO

Deep technical analysis, no configuration needed

Mazzen handles the technical layer automatically. You don't configure what to check — the crawl runs every check on every page.

Crawl & indexability

  • Respects robots.txt disallow rules
  • Detects noindex meta tags and X-Robots-Tag HTTP headers
  • Records crawl depth (how many clicks from the homepage to reach each URL)
  • Sitemap validation — checks for broken and noindexed URLs listed in your XML sitemap
  • Detects pagination via rel=next / rel=prev tags
  • Flags robots.txt-blocked pages that still receive internal links

Redirects & links

  • Handles 301, 302, 307, and 308 redirects and chains
  • Chains of 3 or more hops flagged as warnings; redirect loops as errors
  • Every inlink and outlink recorded per page with link type classification: follow, nofollow, ugc, sponsored
  • Detects orphan pages — content pages with zero internal links pointing to them
  • Flags broken internal links (links pointing to 4xx destinations) with the source URL

Internal pageBroken link
Robots.txt-blocked pages that still receive internal links — a common configuration mistake on sites that have been restructured. The disallow rule blocks Googlebot, but editors kept linking to those URLs from other pages. It wastes link equity and creates crawl budget confusion.

Cross-page analysis

Issues that only appear at the site level

After the crawl finishes, Mazzen runs a second pass across all collected data to find issues that only exist at the site level. These are problems you can't catch by auditing pages individually.

Duplicate meta titles & descriptions

Matched across every page in the crawl. Catches CMS-generated duplicates on paginated category pages, product variants, and tag archives — the kind of duplication that happens silently when a template generates metadata from the same field.

Near-duplicate content

Word fingerprinting detects pages sharing 85%+ of their content. Catches thin templates, near-identical location pages, and duplicated product descriptions. On large ecommerce sites, this often surfaces hundreds of product pages that differ only by a colour or size attribute.

Noindexed pages with inlinks

A noindexed page isn't a problem on its own. But when other pages link to it, you're routing link equity toward a URL Google ignores. The audit flags these so you can either remove the noindex or redirect the internal links.

Images

A dedicated image audit, separate from pages

Every image found across all crawled pages gets its own record, tracked in a dedicated tab separate from pages. Alt text status, file size, and source pages are tracked individually.

External images hosted on CDNs, Google, or social platforms are shown for visibility but never flagged as issues — you only see problems on images you actually own and control.

Alt text audit

Distinguishes between missing entirely and present but empty. An empty alt attribute is correct for decorative images (spacers, background textures, dividers). Mazzen treats them separately so you don't chase false positives by flagging every empty alt as an error.

File size check

Flags images over 100KB that could contribute to Core Web Vitals failures, checked against the actual file served by the server.

Smart filtering

Facebook Pixel tags, Google Analytics beacons, and inline SVG blobs are filtered out automatically. External images hosted on CDNs, Google, or social platforms are shown for reference but never flagged as issues. You only see problems on images you own and control.

PageSpeed Insights

Core Web Vitals for every page

After crawling, Mazzen runs the Google PageSpeed Insights API for each page on demand. Performance data is stored alongside your SEO data in the same audit — no switching between tools.

Metrics collected per page
  • Performance score (0–100)
  • Largest Contentful Paint (LCP)
  • Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS)
  • First Contentful Paint (FCP)

  • Speed Index
  • Improvement opportunities from Google's API
Score gauges

Results display with colour-coded gauges: green (90–100), orange (50–89), red (0–49).

Poor LCP (over 4s) and poor CLS (over 0.25) surface as warnings in the main issues list — they're not buried in a separate performance tab where you'd have to go looking for them.

AI Fix Assistant

One click from problem to solution

Every issue in the Issues tab includes a Fix button. Click it and the AI Fix Assistant opens with the affected URL, the issue type, and the current field value already loaded.

Context-aware
The assistant knows the page URL, the issue type, and the current value. A "meta title too long" suggestion that knows the current title gives you a concrete rewrite — not a character limit reminder.
Covers every issue type
From rewriting an 87-character title tag to diagnosing a 4-hop redirect chain — every issue type has a dedicated fix flow.
Ready to paste
Suggested titles, descriptions, and content rewrites are formatted to copy directly into your CMS. No reformatting needed.
